You can't take the sky from me.

Oh, Internet. How I love thee. So, while I was gone, Captain Mal Reynolds, (AKA Nathan Fillion) stated that, "If I got $300 million from the California Lottery, the first thing I would do is buy the rights to Firefly, make it own my own, and distribute it on the Internet." So, what did the Internet do? Why they set up a site where you can pledge money for Fillion to actually acquire the rights to Firefly. You can currently go HERE to find out more information about this project.

For those of you that don't know about Firefly (And the follow up movie, Serenity.) I HIGHLY recommended seeking it out. Firefly was hands down, one of the best sci-fi shows ever made. But apparently Fox is allergic to awesomeness, because not only did they air the episodes out of order, but they also canceled the show before the end of the first season!

Also of note, the Science Channel has stated that they will air Firefly, beginning March 6th, in its intended order, and in HD! They said that they will also include many "new extras" and "wrap each episode with interstitial segments starring renowned physicist Dr. Michio Kaku, who will discuss the theoretical science behind the show’s sci-fi concepts."

In other news, a "thank you" is in order for fellow blogger, G, who wrote up a review of my little corner of the internet on his post last Sunday. Thank you kind sir.

To any new readers that got sent over here, welcome. You'll find that my archive consists of mostly obscure metal/rock bands. However, that's not necessarily what the future holds. There might be more music, but I'm also trying to also find some other avenues to explore.

To all my other loyal minions, be sure to check out Bar Science, where you can learn many bets and tricks for fun, or perhaps even to make a bit of money.

  10. Tracerz: It's similar in that they were both unjustly cancelled, but they are two different types of shows.

  12. Firefly was something I glanced at but it seemed too much for me at the time due to me being into Farscape (amazing as well)

@Tracerz-have you read all of Terry Goodkinds books on the Sword of Truth series? Legend of the Seeker didn't do any of his work justice at all

  18. Firefly is/was my favourite Sci-fi series... the concept...the language...the Chinese phrases... the fact that they were good guys doing anything to survive - just brilliant! TV execs must just be stupid - plain and simple.
    Cheers for the mention :)
